Early in 2009, I decided to capture an image every calendar day for an entire year. 365 days later, I have more gray hair, have aged a decade and alienated loved ones, but I did it and, most importantly, I didn’t miss a single day. Welcome to Keene (Day 74) A car parked next to me today had this odd, golf-ball sized, antenna ornament supporting our local high school. Lucky for them, their antenna was flexible as I had to bend it a bit to get the sky in the background. For an alternate take where I try to make the ball look like it is floating in air, click here. !["A" Is For Movie Prop (Day 82)
FYI. Figured I would work through the letters of the alphabet (in order of course) as a photo project within a photo project.
So, what do I mean by movie prop, you ask? Say “aye” if you both saw and truly enjoyed the movie Jumanji, starring Robin Williams (circa 1995). […cricket…cricket…]. Thought so, Robin has been in quite a few bad movies.
Anywho, one of Keene’s claims to fame is the fact that a portion of the movie was shot here. For those who remember the movie, Sir Williams’ father owned a shoe company; Parrish Shoes. The “A” above is part of a Parrish Shoes mural that was used in the movie and remains on a wall downtown.
