Early in 2009, I decided to capture an image every calendar day for an entire year. 365 days later, I have more gray hair, have aged a decade and alienated loved ones, but I did it and, most importantly, I didn’t miss a single day. Comments and criticisms are welcomed, both on composition and technique, and on content. Thanks for looking.

Porn Mullet (Day 184)
Went for a walk downtown at lunch. The sound of Billy Squires’ Emotions in Motion drew me into a local music store. Had a serious flashback upon seeing the beautiful guitars hanging on a nearby wall; thoughts of me in college dragging around my black acoustic, sporting a porn mullet, and thinking I was all that and a bag of chips (think Rob Lowe in St Elmo’s Fire, complete with dangling earrings, minus the good looks).

on July 11, 2009I am entirely too tired to come up with anything witty or even half-assed insightful right now, but I've neglected your gallery for what seems like a long time so I figured I'd at least stop in. Nice shot of the axes and interesting comparison with the St. Elmo's Rob Lowe. I think irish is right, you need to pull out one of those archived shots one day. As the meathead from Cali likes to say, I'll be back.

on July 8, 2009This is such a wonderful capture -- love the perspective and repeating shapes and definitely works well in black & white. And Porn Mullet!?! I think we need to see a shot of that -- I'm sure you have one in your archives, right? :-)
