Early in 2009, I decided to capture an image every calendar day for an entire year. 365 days later, I have more gray hair, have aged a decade and alienated loved ones, but I did it and, most importantly, I didn’t miss a single day. Comments and criticisms are welcomed, both on composition and technique, and on content. Thanks for looking.

Half Full or Half Empty? (Day 183)
I wanted today’s shot to symbolize the fact that my little photo project is now officially half over. The adage about the glass being half full or half empty totally applies. On the one hand, I have learned a ton from this process, the time has flown by, and I don’t want it to end. On the other hand, I can’t believe that I have to take another 182 shots and can’t imagine that I will ever make it.

on July 8, 2009Great photo to mark the halfway point! I didn't start this daily photo marathon until Feb 11, so I've got a ways to go before I'm half done--but I sure know how you feel in regards to the glass half empty/half full debate. It's the support of all the great people on Smug Mug that often keeps me plugging away. Hang in there; you've put up some wonderful work.

on July 7, 2009My first thought upon seeing the photo -- before reading the caption -- was: half full or half empty. So guess great minds think alike? :-)
I like to think it's half full ... the next 182 shots will be taken before you know it!

on July 7, 2009Awesome post Pete. So appropriate given your anniversary. I'm on day 186 so I guess we started around the same time. Sometimes it gets real tough but then there's that one awesome shot and it sucks you right back in. I love the blue light towards the top.
