Early in 2009, I decided to capture an image every calendar day for an entire year. 365 days later, I have more gray hair, have aged a decade and alienated loved ones, but I did it and, most importantly, I didn’t miss a single day. Comments and criticisms are welcomed, both on composition and technique, and on content. Thanks for looking.

Peace (Day 260)
Happy International Day Of Peace Y’all.
Knowing my general lack of experience as a bird photographer, I drove around tonight looking for some doves that I could hit with the car and then pose (the perfect symbol for peace). Rolled snake eyes; I couldn’t even find a spray-paintable pigeon in this town.
So instead I decided to use the hydrangea we planted in the backyard last year as a substitute for white roses; another suitable symbol. Stumbled on this weird blue color while futzing in LR. I like it (and my overly shallow depth of field).

on September 22, 2009This is a lovely peaceful shot -- glad you didn't go the hit-the-doves-with-my-car route. :-)
