Early in 2009, I decided to capture an image every calendar day for an entire year. 365 days later, I have more gray hair, have aged a decade and alienated loved ones, but I did it and, most importantly, I didn’t miss a single day. Comments and criticisms are welcomed, both on composition and technique, and on content. Thanks for looking.

Nirvana (Day 21)
Yes, I am fully aware that almost 25% of my shots so far have been coffee related. It only illustrates what this nectar of the gods means to me. And, in my opinion, aside from sipping Cappuccino's in Rome or Kona coffee in Maui, (both of which I strongly recommend if you ever get the chance), one of my most enjoyable coffee experiences is simply reading the paper at our local Starbucks on a Sunday morning.
This is the emblem on the front of their somewhat new Mastrena espresso machine. Like the cheesy vignetting? I thought it enhanced the almost mythical nature of my visit.

on January 27, 2009Nice softness, beautiful light, and I like the sharpness of the texture as well.

on January 26, 2009My fave of all the shots, Pete. It just has a "heft" in it; something solid and quality looking about the emblem, perhaps. I particularly like the way the border of the emblem caught the orange light on the right side, but not the left. I can hardly wait for my morning coffee!!

Fabulous shot -- and I quite like the "cheesy" vignetting.
