Have Your Fun On Route 101 (Day 101)
Unlike yesterday’s impromptu shot, I had planned on getting one of a dilapidated Route 101 sign for today’s shot; I sadly missed the obvious “I Can’t Drive 55 (Day 55)” speed limit sign opportunity and have been feeling empty inside ever since.
And yes, I am aware of the ill-executed, Grad ND effect and distracting crop; I like em!
For you nerdy, geography buffs: Route 101 is the major east-west route across southern New Hampshire; it stretches from Keene to the Atlantic. For those who aren’t familiar with the logo – the upper left corner represents the Old Man Of the Mountain; a granite outcropping found on Canon Mountain in northern New Hampshire. Unfortunately it collapsed in 2003. Soon after, there was talk about putting up a life-sized, Styrofoam replica to aid tourism efforts. Glad that one died on the vine.

on April 16, 2009Neat perspective -- glad you explained about the sign, otherwise I would've thought it was just really ragged. :-)
