Early in 2009, I decided to capture an image every calendar day for an entire year. 365 days later, I have more gray hair, have aged a decade and alienated loved ones, but I did it and, most importantly, I didn’t miss a single day. Comments and criticisms are welcomed, both on composition and technique, and on content. Thanks for looking.

So Eden Sank To Grief (Day 120)
Robert Frost’s Nothing Gold Can Stay:
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leafs a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down today.
Nothing gold can stay.
This is last week’s emergence flower (see Day 109) and I have to say that both this shot and the poem have now bummed me out. Time to throw on a beret, grab a bottle of Cab, turn on some Miles and contemplate the cosmos. Ho hum, maybe Nietzsche did have it right.

on May 5, 2009Sheesh...and I just thought, "Check it out. It's sticking its tongue out at me."
Man, am I shallow. Think I'll go get a glass of cheap Rose and listen to some Barry Manilow.
